Pacific Walrus Times

Two Walrus Kiss

Walrus Land Times Arrived

Walruses are among the strangest mammal life. Their large tusks (on average 20 inches) makes them different from all other marine life. These defenses are used in the battle for territory and mates, but they also serve other functions. Defenses can be used to cut through the ice, relax on the ice for stability while you sleep, the anchor on the seabed, while digging clams, and get a grip on the rise water on the ice. They are often referred to as hikers tooth.
